Steve Dawson

Steve Dawson (stevedawson@executivealliance.com) is a Senior Consultant with Executive Alliance. He has worked in the HRIS and Information Technology fields for over 15 years, serving clients in a number of industries such as life sciences, manufacturing, high tech, higher education, healthcare, financial services, and the public sector.   Past assignments include:

·         Building a technology roadmap to support HR’s strategic plan;

·         Working with an IT department to assess its business alignment and effectiveness as a service delivery organization;

·         Auditing an "at risk" ERP implementation and recommending a course of action to address findings;

·         Assisting with the creation of a shared service organization supporting the HR/Payroll function;

·         Documenting business requirements for several enterprise software applications;

·         Developing a business case for implementing a learning management system (LMS), and facilitating a structured vendor selection process;

·         Assessing the fit of a prospective customer for an HR outsourcing vendor’s services;

·         Leading a data cleansing effort to improve the quality of HR data;

 

In addition to his extensive consulting background, Steve has held several management positions in leading organizations such as Boston Scientific and Thomson Reuters. His key accomplishments include:

·         Prototyping a Workday HCM solution for 20 countries;

·         Launching employee and manager self-service tools globally;

·         Building an HRIS department from the ground up;

·         Implementing an enterprise-wide ERP system;

·         Improving the effectiveness of an established HRIS team by focusing on better collaboration with customers, cross-training staff and increasing controls to reduce defects and lost work requests;

·         Managing ERP change efforts such as software upgrades, business reorganizations, acquisitions and divestitures;

·         Simplifying the administration of security access to HR and payroll data;

·         Assisting with the design, build, rollout and support of a global data warehouse;

 

Mr. Dawson received his Bachelor of Arts and MBA degrees from Texas Tech University. He is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
