Ken Cranney

Ken Cranney (kencranney@executivealliance.com)) is a Senior Consultant with Executive Alliance, bringing with him many years of experience in HRIS and Information Technology. 

 

Prior to joining Executive Alliance, Ken worked for Boston Scientific Corporation as a Director in both the Human Resources and Information Technology functions.  His accomplishments include:

  • Leading the development of Boston Scientific’s Human Resources Service Center
  • Spearheading the creation of Boston Scientific’s first HR Metrics Scorecard
  • Implementing Boston Scientific’s first manager and employee self-service tools
  • Developing business cases for technology investments and for a Human Resources Service Center
  • Leading the evaluation of different models for HR and Payroll service delivery including analysis of outsourcing options
  • Facilitating the development of a 3 year strategic plan for the Human Resources functionReengineering numerous HR processes including compensation management, benefits enrollment and personnel actions
  • Evaluating various HR IT vendors for software purchases including self-service, knowledgeware and Learning Management System vendors
  • Establishing a Total Quality program for the HR Systems department

 

Ken worked as a Senior Consultant at KPMG in their World Class HR Practice where he focused on helping clients leverage technology to improve their core business processes.

 

Ken started his career at AlliedSignal as a HR Reengineering Analyst where he received certification as a Operational Excellence (Six Sigma) Green Belt.  Ken worked on numerous projects including implementing a HR Service Center, developing a benefits enrollment system and implementing a benefits expert system.

 

Ken is a highly sought after speaker.  He has presented at schools and industry conferences on topics such as Business Process Reengineering, business case development and HR Service Delivery.  In addition, Ken taught Compensation Management in the Human Resources Graduate Program at Framingham State College.

 

Ken graduated from the Krannert Graduate School of Management at Purdue University with a Master of Science in Human Resource Management and attended Wake Forest University for his Bachelor of Arts.
