
Greg A. Morris
Greg A. Morris is a Senior Consultant with Executive Alliance and has been with the firm since 2003. Mr. Morris has 16 years of payroll experience in broad-based payroll management as both a practitioner and consultant. He has successfully managed all facets of payroll processing in both public and private sector organizations, using a variety of software systems. He has industry experience ranging from small start-up business to large corporations with 15,000 + employees. His experience crosses multiple industries including Healthcare, Federal and State Government, Biotechnology, Dot Commerce, Food Service and Real Estate Investment Trusts.
Mr. Morris’s consulting activities focus on two specific practice areas: Payroll and Time & Attendance. In both areas strategic advice for best practice and compliance is provided as well as hands-on participation in implementation and daily processing matters. Activities include: payroll compliance assessments (Federal & State), software utilization and upgrades, software implementation, project management, process assessment and re-design, creation of management documentation and organizational change management.
As a Senior Consultant, Mr. Morris provides a variety of services to clients including Interim Payroll Management and Project Management. Recent work engagements include:
- Interim Payroll Department Management: Led a Payroll Department that serviced 15,000 employees, 4 unions and managed 12 Payroll and HRIS staff members.
- Project Management: Led the implementation of an automated Time and Attendance system for 9 unions with complex collective bargaining rules and administrative employee. Served a duel role as Project Manager, leading the implementation and configuration phase and managed organizational change as the company transitioned from a manual paper-based system to an automated system.
- Payroll Department Assessment: Tasked with assessing current Payroll department operational issues and correcting in real-time. Led department through re-design and enhanced audit process to correct compliance and processing issues. Project resulted in Service Level Agreement metrics to be compliant with client needs in three weeks.
As a payroll practitioner, Mr. Morris served in a variety of payroll positions culminating as Payroll Manager for a publicly traded, gobal software provider. While Payroll Manager, Mr. Morris managed multiple payroll consolidations resulting from corporate mergers and acquisitions, oversaw standardization of Payroll and Time and Attendance practice and systems and coordinated the implementation of a global Human Resources system.
Mr. Morris graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelors degree in Biology, and completed the Northeastern University payroll certification class. Mr. Morris is also an active member of the American Payroll Association.
